Regularly scheduled maintenance services are a necessity. Your vehicle's performance
and safety depends upon your timely attention to maintenance needs. Although the
manufacturer does share the responsibility, you must follow their maintenance schedule.
Timely services will ensure your vehicle's performance and longevity.
The schedule below may be used for cars with gasoline engines
A. 3K EVERY 3,000 MILES
- Inspect drive belts, hoses, cables, lights, horn, filters, tires, and fluid levels.
- Change engine oil and oil filter and complete Maintenance Service.
B. 6K AT 6-18-30-42-54-66-78-90,000 MILES
1. Lubricate suspension, steering linkage and transaxle shift linkage.
2. Inspect seat belts, buckles, latch plates, retractors, anchorages and restraint
reminder system for damage or loose parts
3. Inspect wiper blades for wear or cracking.
4. Inspect brake system, including brake lines, hoses, pads, calipers, wheel cylinders
rotors and drums.
5. Inspect exhaust system/heat shields for leaks, damage or loose parts.
6. Inspect steering system & suspension for damage, loose or missing parts.
7. Inspect power steering lines and hoses for leaks or damage.
8. Clean and inspect drive axle boots for damage, tears or leakage.
9. Rotate tires.
10. Inspect radiator & heater hoses for cracks, swelling or deterioration.
11. Inspect throttle linkage.
12. Replace air filter (Every 30,000 miles)
13. Replace fuel filter (Every 30,000 miles)
C. 12K AT 12-24-36-48-60-72-84-96,000 MILES
1. Lubricate suspension, steering linkage and transaxle shift linkage.
2. Lubricate key lock cylinders, body door hinges, hood, door & trunk hinges and
folding seat hardware.
3. Inspect starter safety switch & steering column lock for correct operation.
4. Inspect seat belts, buckles, latch plates, retractors, anchorages and restraint
reminder system for damage or loose parts.
5. Inspect brake-transaxle shift interlock for correct operation.
6. Inspect wiper blades for wear or cracking.
7. Inspect brake system, including brake lines, hoses, pads, calipers, wheel cylinders
rotors and drums.
8. Check parking brake adjustment, inspect park brake mechanism.
9. Inspect exhaust system/heat shields for leaks damage or loose parts.
10. Inspect steering system & suspension for damage, loose or missing parts.
11. Inspect power steering lines and hoses for leaks or damage.
12. Clean & inspect drive axles boots for damage, tears or leakage.
13. Rotate tires.
14. Inspect radiator & heater hoses for cracks, swelling or deterioration.
15. Inspect throttle linkage.
16. Inspect calipers for freedom of movement; lubricate caliper pins and brake knuckle pad
abutments as necessary.
17. Replace automatic transmission/transaxle fluid & filter.
D. 100K AT 100,000 MILES
1. Replace automatic transmission/transaxle fluid & filter.
2. Inspect exhaust has recirculation system.
3. Replace platinum spark plugs. Inspect plug wires & connectors. Inspect PCV
valve.
4. Inspect fuel tank cap & lines.
E. AT 150,000 MILES
1. Replace coolant, inspect and tighten hoses and connections. Pressure test cooling
system.
